NUCLEOME THERAPEUTICS, a fast-emerging biopharma that is building a passionate, creative, and dedicated multi-disciplinary team of scientists with expertise in gene regulation, genomics, machine learning, drug discovery, data analysis and software development, whose mission is to decode and mine the regulatory “dark matter” of the human genome to transform drug target discovery and deliver first–in–class precision medicine for autoimmune diseases. We are building a rewarding and fun environment where people embrace creative ways of thinking, take smart risks, and feel empowered to make a difference.
We are growing our Computational Biology Team by looking for a (Principal/Senior) Statistical Geneticist who is self-starter, proactive and who would thrive in the dynamic environment of a fast-emerging biopharma company. You will also have an integral role in the venture and take ownership of the work.
You will use your statistical genetics skills to mine, analyse, and summarise data from genome-wide association studies (GWAS) for the disease areas of interest. You will actively explore emerging GWAS datasets, assess their quality and usability, integrate their results with older relevant datasets, and facilitate their conclusions to serve our target discovery projects. You will tightly collaborate with genomics scientists, drug discovery experts, and bioinformaticians to identify causal variants, with the focus on those in the non-coding genome, from a genetic and statistical points of view; this will be based on public data (e.g. GWAS) combined with in-house generated multi-omic datasets. Together, we will decode the sequences in our genomes that underlie human disease and guide therapeutic development. You will be a team player, and thus you will follow the best practices in analysis ensuring reusability and reproducibility.
If you know someone who could be a good fit, please share this posting with them.
