Nucleome Therapeutics featured in the MedNous February Edition.

Our CEO Mark Bodmer and our VP Functional Genomics James Heward explore how decoding the dark genome is opening entirely new frontiers in drug discovery.

They highlight how “understanding the non-coding regulatory regions affected by genetic variants has the potential to unlock a new era of drug discovery”. This point is underscored throughout the article as they discuss how state-of-the-art approaches to genetics using transformative AI/ML algorithms and high-resolution 3D genome technologies provides significant advances in the identification of causal disease genes and biology.

Nucleome’s proprietary platform is enabling the identification of causal variants, linking them to genes, and uncovering mechanisms that drive inflammatory disease. This work has led to the recent nomination of Nucleome’s first preclinical candidate, NTP464, a monoclonal antibody targeting an inflammation checkpoint.
